Tips on Google Search Useful to Know

Search function

 

 Among the search functions on Google, I will first introduce the search function that can be entered in the Google bar.

 

*Alternative rules of change apply to the search function for all words after all goes in front. All and colons are written without spaces.

For example, allinurl:AB is the same as allinurl:Ainurl:B

 

-Search specific website, site: (enter url)

Ability to search within a specific website


The above search limits the search to the National Statistical Office site and displays the results of searching for age-related data.

 

- fill in the blank (wildcard

It is used to search for parts that you don't know well. By default, it means the same as * in search of files

Google, I can't help it. Don't go

If you search for it, Google's various services appear, and I'm not sure if it's more useful than and, replacing the unknown part with * in the middle of the lyrics.

 

-plus search, +

Google sometimes omits surveys or prepositions such as it, that, and of when they contain too many search results. If you type a + in front of a word, only the search results with the word are displayed.

e.g. comparing search results for it and +it

It is also used in the sense of information and technology (IT). If you search for it on English Google, 8.6 billion results +it will search for 25.3 billion results.   I think this difference may have brought some feeling.

 

-File type, filetype: (enter extension)

Search by restricting the file type. It can be designated and used in advanced searches such as pdf files, Google Earth files (klm), and doc files.

e.g. Internet usage filetype:pdf

Search for a pdf file with the word Internet utilization.

 

-Cache (Save) page cache: (enter url)

It is a page stored in Google's database. You can also view pages that are not visible because the domain is missing if they are still stored in the database.

e.g. cache:(url)

The cache page is displayed in the lower right corner of the search results, so you don't have to memorize commands.

 

-Related page, related: (enter url)

Search for sites that are considered to be related to the web page. 


If you search as above, several shopping mall sites are searched. Like cache, there is a button in the lower right corner of the search result.

 

-Search for links, link:

Search for pages linked to the entered site.


Search for the page you are linking to the tea story.

 

-Title search, intel: all intel:

Search by limiting scope to title

e.g. intel: Uhehehe

Search only for the content that contains Uhehe in the title

 

-body search, intext:, all intext:

Search by limiting scope to body

e.g. intext: hehe

Only search for content containing hehe in the body

 

-URL search, inurl:, allinurl:

Search for words contained in the URL.

e.g. inurl:lab

Search the site containing lab in url. (allinurl:A B = inurl:A inurl:B)

 

-Link anchor search, inanchor:, allinanchor:

Link anchor string <a> <span>

e.g. anchor:hotfile

 

-Duration search, datarange: (number-number) 

Search for a limited time

e.g. datage: (2455558-2455559)

-Numrange search,..

Search for a range of numbers.

e.g. 50 push-ups. 70

Search results with numbers between 50 and 70 for push-ups

 

-define search

an English dictionary search

e.g. define:nothing

 

-Exceptions can be found in Google's web help

 

Phonebook: seems to be limited to the United States, so pass, not very useful

 

 

So far, this is a search function that can be entered into the Google bar except for the four basic functions that I researched. In part 3, we will give an example of how to use these functions.
